Out is the Milgauss-style body, and in is the case-shape we've come to recognize on the GMT-Master II with its sharp squareness and slab sides.
I was shocked when I woke up this morning to see the new watches only to find that not only was the Air-King not discontinued, but improved upon! They basically took a watch I really liked and made it one I absolutely love.

In this pilot's opinion, it is the best innovation and the best tool watch to be made by Rolex in the last 20 years. The Rolex Air-King, despite being the oldest existing model in the mega-brand’s star-studded lineup, has never attained the levels of mainstream popularity and collectability enjoyed by household-name watches like the Daytona, Submariner, GMT-Master, and (arguably) even the Yacht-Master.
